Angus Recreation Centre Retrofits Dasher Boards

Angus Recreation_CentreAngus is located in Essa Township, just west of Barrie in Simcoe County, Ontario. Angus has small town charm and with its proximity to Barrie and the 400 highway, it is a growing commuter city.

Angus has all the nearby conveniences that your family needs, including a library, Catholic and public elementary schools, a public secondary school, a small shopping centre, many stores and restaurants, and a recreation facility.

As a growing community, the arena dasher boards and freezing slab at the recreation centre were found to be in need of updating.

With the freezing slab being updated, Sound Barriers worked with the designer to custom fit the dasher boards to a 42 inch height, as opposed to the standard 48 inch height traditionally used.

The white puck board, yellow kick strip and red top sill where replaced providing for many more years of use by the local residents.

Colour matched fasteners were employed to provide an aesthetically pleasing installation.

Since the glass shields are costly to replace, where possible Sound Barriers re-used the existing tempered glass shields to reduce the overall installations cost.
