With twin NHL ice pads, 85 feet wide by 200 feet long. Seating capacity in both the east and west rinks is 450. Each rink includes six dressing rooms (each with shower and washroom facilities) – two accessible dressing rooms – gondola, timekeepers boxes with music & PA capacities, and scoreboards.
There’s also a players lobby, vending, seating and a glass viewing lounge.
In June 2015, Sound Barriers completed a comprehensive retrofit of the existing dasher boards. This included replacing the worn white puck board, gold kick strip and gold top sill, and gate thresholds. All puck board was installed using countersunk, colour matched fasteners.
Puck Board is extremely impact resistant and resistant to a long list of chemicals. Puck board performs well in cold weather environments. Puck Board is extremely well suited for use in ice rink applications, providing long life and ease of maintenance.
Half inch white puck board was used for the main dasher boards, with red used for the center line and blue used for the two defensive zone lines. Red puck board was used for the kick strip, while white puck board was used for the top sill.
